Moon Rock OG are THC cannabis buds dipped in or sprayed with hash oil, then rolled in kief. Though the potency of each batch of Moonrock OG varies and depends on how it’s made, the general consensus is that they hover around 54% THC.

Origin of Moon Rocks
Moon Rock was born out of the longstanding intimate relationship between cannabis culture and hip-hop, or, to be more precise, a mixtape project between the former executive vice president of Death Row Records turned marijuana tycoon Kurupt (Ricardo E. Brown) and musician Dr. Zodiak (Daniel Laughlin).
Kurupt and Dr. Zodiak met in 2013 and quickly went from collaborating on a mixtape to launching the first branded moon rock marijuana line. Since the advent of Kurupt’s Moonrocks and Dr. Zodiak, other brands and dispensaries have ripped apart the stratosphere and launched their own moon breaks.
Moon rocks are one of the most expensive nugs you’ll find on the menu of your dispensary, and for a good reason. It’s the most potent way to smoke weed. If you’ve got a decent supply of flower, kief and hash oil, it isn’t hard to make a moon rock. When a moon rock is done right, you should hardly be able to see what your nug originally looked like. You can’t treat them exactly like regular weed when its time to smoke.
